Deputy Operations Manager/Medical Chief at the Women's Clinic of Halland Hospital

We are looking for someone who wants to help continue developing the Women's Clinic at Halland Hospital, making it even better for both patients and staff.

Through present leadership, provide conditions for well-being and development opportunities within the medical team. Strengthen patient safety and develop the operations for future needs. Are you the one we are looking for?

About the assignment

As a deputy operations manager/medical chief, you will be part of the clinic's management team and play a key role in driving development, strengthening leadership, and contributing to the future of gynecological and obstetric care. You will be based in Halmstad and responsible for approximately 26 doctors, as well as substituting for the operations manager when necessary. You will work closely with the clinic's other managers.

Your main areas of responsibility:

  • Staffing and scheduling in collaboration with other managers
  • Work environment responsibility for the medical team
  • Training and competence supply
  • Employee discussions and salary discussions
  • Recruitment
  • Daily operational management
  • Patient safety work
  • Medical issues and care guidelines

We offer you a combined position, where you will work both as a manager, leader, and clinically within your core profession. The assignment as deputy operations manager is approximately 80%, and the assignment as medical chief is 50%. The extent may change over time.

The clinic has a clinic assistant who provides some administrative support to the doctors. You will be employed in a permanent position in your core profession with a four-year appointment as a manager.

The Women's Clinic is a regional clinic with operations at the hospitals in Halmstad, Varberg, and Kungsbacka. We conduct a broad operation with patients of all ages – children, adolescents, and women with both gynecological issues and during their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum period. The clinic's goal is to provide accessible and patient-safe care based on evidence and proven experience. The approximately 360 employees at the Women's Clinic together offer specialist care of high quality.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in gynecology and obstetrics. It is important in the role that you have the ability to establish good relationships and can lead and create good conditions for your employees. As a person, you have good communication skills and are structured in your work approach.

You are motivated to drive and develop your operations, your employees, and your leadership and enjoy leading an organization in change. For the assignment, system competence is required, meaning understanding your own role and how the parts of the whole work together within healthcare. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
